Planning a wedding can be one of the most joyful, but also stressful times of your life. With all the preparation and commitment you put into planning, you want everything to be perfect. I can and will help with this. I apply flawless, long lasting makeup that looks beautiful in person as well as captured on photographs and videos. We will work together to create a beautiful look tailored to suit you which enhances your natural beauty and define those special features.
Once you have enquired about your wedding date and I have confirmed I am available, I will then send your booking fee instructions to secure your wedding date. After this I will forward you your bridal contract.
Trial, on the day & FAQ's
To ensure you look and feel amazing on your wedding day, a bridal trial is always recommended.
You can expect a trial appointment to last approximately 60- 90 minutes and this is held at my house in Christchurch. This is usually held 1-4 months prior to your wedding day and will give us a fantastic opportunity to get to know each other. We will discuss all aspects of your wedding from your chosen dress, colour schemes, hair styles, flowers and venue, which I feel is important to ensuring your special day flows beautifully together.
I always suggest a morning/early afternoon appointment so that you can be assured that it lasts all day, and also how it looks in different lights. I also recommend to all my brides to look at booking your hair appointment or dress fitting on the same day, as this gives you a fantastic opportunity to see what works well together. Please note that during peak season trials will be held on weekdays only.
I am frequently asked if trials are required for bridesmaids and they are not, however if they do want to have a trial, then this can be happily arranged. Please note during peak season time allocations for trials will be prioritised for brides over bridal party. Over the many years of doing bridal makeup I have also noticed that Mother of the Brides tend to be apprehensive about booking a 'makeup artist'. Rest assured I am experienced in very natural makeup which leaves all clients looking and feeling like themselves, and confident for the big day ahead.
Another frequently asked question is what makeup products I use. I have a fantastic range of high quality products including; Nars, Charlotte Tilbury, By Terry, Hour Glass, Chanel, Estee lauder, MAC, Mario Badescu. Illamasqua, Laura Mercier, Inglot, Bobbi Brown and many more. I only use the best to ensure your finish lasts all day and night. I use high quality false eyelashes including brands like Ardel, Prima Luxury and Tatti Pro. When Lashes are mentioned this can either fill you with happiness, or fill you with dread. I always say not to panic and that I have a fantastic collection of high quality strip lashes or individual lashes to compliment your eye shape and also your style. If you choose to have semi-permanent lashes for your big day then that is fine as well. Please note I hold no liability for any damage to semi-permanent lashes.
On your wedding day I am here to assist with your morning, create a calm, happy and exciting atmosphere and remain with you until our discussed time for my departure.
